Katie Bain is the director of Billboard Dance, where she oversees coverage of the wide, wild world of dance and electronic music. She also loves pop, classic rock and hip-hop, and her Billboard cover stories include The Weeknd, Justin Bieber and Swedish House Mafia. Based in Los Angeles and originally from small-town Wisconsin, Katie has a journalism degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and has reported stories in more than a dozen countries. She previously was senior editor at Beatport News, an editor at international festival producer Insomniac Events and senior music writer at LA Weekly. Her work has appeared in outlets including The Guardian, Vice, Flaunt and RBMA. She loves Bruce Springsteen, Burning Man and the Green Bay Packers in equal measure.
